Event Wax

Event WaxEvent Wax makes organising events quicker, easier, and an all round more pleasurable experience. It establishes an online presence for any event, allowing people to register and keep track of their tickets, and for you to easily track who's attending, all via a simple web interface.

Perfectly suited to conferences, workshops, courses, and any other event where communication with attendees is key to its success, Event Wax is currently free to use.

Once you’ve signed up for an account you can then add events to it by filling in details such as name, location, dates, etc. It’s all very straightforward. Event Wax will then set up an event administration area for you where you can keep track of bookings and keep in contact with attendees. A customisable web site for your event will also be created, from which attendees can register (and pay online, if necessary) straight away. Alternatively, you can just link to the registration pages directly from your own web site. For the day of the event, you can print or otherwise export any information you want like entire attendee lists, details of personal preferences, etc.

As of today, April 6, 2009, EventWax has announced they are closing their site. I'm an http://www.eventbrite.com/ customer and suggest you check them out as an alternative. They are fab!! Good luck everyone.

I'm surprised by the eventwax announcement.

Another booking service that's worth considering is bookwhen.com
